We got to Neptune diving shop a little late was we were held up in the market trying to buy an egg! Since we started diving we heard you can bring an egg to 30 meters and crack it underwater and it remains in the same shape it held inside the shell due to the pressure it's exposed to! Anyway luckily we saw the van heading to the port and the guys had packed our scuba gear anyway expecting us. It was a short boat ride to the first site which was the Japanese ship Olympia maru which was one of many Japanese ships sunk by the Americans while the Japanese were trying to hide their ships amongst the clutter of islands around coron. Our dive master was pretty chilled and said he was conifident in our ability so the briefing was simple. We go down to the shop, into the ship, around the ship and back out! Before we went down I went to grab the egg to find someone had used our bag as a pillow and the egg had suffered normal air pressure destruction which was less exciting and more messy! As we entered the big cargo ship we could see old oil barrels and interesting fish like scorpion fish and crocodile fish! We saw huge boilers and had to sneak our way through tiny gaps and holes in the ship
Our second dive site after we had some lunch was Morazan maru a 100m long freight ship. Inside we saw huge boilers for its steam engine and lots of fish hovering around the outside. We noticed our air consumption was improving with every dive and we were coming up with still half a tank left! On the way up we couldn't see much. Around the areas where the wrecks were oyster and pearl farms which release a lot of silt into the ocean meaning you can only see maybe 2 meters in front of you. What we could see in the distance beside our boat were huge giant white jellyfish! There were loads but the local lads didn't seem to concerned with them and even rugged on a few almost taunting them!
